James “Jimmy” Leonard Sr.

 James Lloyd "Jimmy" Leonard Sr, age 77, of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on July 3, 2024. Born on September 26, 1946, Jimmy was a well-respected mechanic and the owner of Leonard Garage, a staple of the Fairhope community. 

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Edith Leonard, and their three children, Barbara Wallace (Jeremy), James Leonard Jr. (Sara), and Charles Leonard (Cherina). He was a cherished grandfather to Carlie, Caiden, and Zoie Leonard. He also leaves behind his brother, Thomas (Tommy) Leonard. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Lois I. Leonard (Langford) and Benjamin J. Leonard (BJ), his sister, Miriam Ann Beaty, and his stepmother, Ruby. 

A faithful member of the Three Circle Church of Fairhope, Jimmy was deeply involved in his community and church activities. His commitment to faith and family was evident to all who knew him. 

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Alabama. The visitation for immediate family will commence at 8:30am followed by a public visitation at 9:00am and Memorial Service at 10:00am. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Hope Center, affiliated with 3 Circle Church, on Highway 104, Fairhope, Alabama, 36532, or to the Southern Cancer Center at 29653 Anchor Cross Blvd., Daphne, Alabama 36526. 

Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home of Fairhope, Alabama is assisting the family during this time. Jimmy's life and legacy will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.
