James Anthony “Tony” Baldwin, age 50, a native of Nashville, TN and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Tony was a graduate of Springhill College. He also studied the Eastern philosophy of Shorinji Kempo, attaining 1st dan black belt level. Tony was an avid scuba diver. He enjoyed traveling and diving throughout the Caribbean and Central America. He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” E. and Wanda Kuffskie Baldwin. His survivors include his sister, Holly Freeman (James) of Junction City AR; brothers, William Bradford Baldwin and Wade Bentley Baldwin (Michelle) of Fairhope; nephews, Matthew Freeman, Justin Freeman and Clay Baldwin; niece, Lawson Baldwin; great nephew, Greyson Allen Freeman; fur babies, Bayleigh, Sadie and Sophie; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
