It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jackson Luverne Clark Jr., a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on August 17, 2024.

Born in Headland, Henry County, Alabama, on March 16, 1953, Jackson was a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, where he built a life full of love, resilience, and cherished memories.

Jackson was previously married to Gaynell Copeland Cordell, and together they shared the joy of raising their daughter, Nadia Copeland Clark Winberg. With Gaynell, he also raised his two stepsons, Rubert “Rob” Busby and Joe Busby Sr., becoming the role model and father they needed. Jackson’s love for his daughters Sonja, Nadia, and his stepsons was one of his greatest joys, and he cherished every moment with them.

Jackson is preceded in death by his father, Jackson Clark Sr.; his mother, Ida Williams; and his brother, Mackie Clark.

He faced the trials of life with strength and grace, and his profound love for his brother Mackie is a source of comfort, knowing they are now reunited in peace.

He is survived by his children: Sonia Clark, Nadia Clark Winberg (Aaron), Rubert “Rob” Busby (Tiffany), and Joe Busby Sr. (Shauna). He was a proud grandfather to Jermaine, Aiden, Liam, Sean, Kylie, Emily, Bailee, and Joe Jr. Jackson is also survived by his siblings: Laura Clark (Loyd), Joyce McCary (Larry), Linda Ray (Michael), Hadrian Clark, Debra Everett (Kareem), and Renee Williams. His stepmother, Ira Jean Clark, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved family members also mourn his loss.

Jack was passionate about fishing and took great pleasure in quiet moments by the water. An enthusiastic Auburn football fan, he proudly cheered “War Eagle!” He also delighted in good music and Southern cuisine, which were close to his heart. Though his sunset has come, the light of Jackson’s life will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

A celebration of Jackson’s life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 3:00pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join us in remembering a remarkable man who will never be forgotten. ---
