Izola McCants was born on September 1, 1937 to Wade and Matilda McCants in Hilbert Alabama. She departed this life for eternal rest on February 19, 2021. Izola was a devout member of the Bethel Lutheran Evangelical Church, under the leadership of her pastor whom she dearly loved, Pastor Ulmer Marshall. She served and Loved her church responsibilities dearly. She was the president of LWML, choir member, usher board, Kitchen Boss and decorated the Alter beautifully until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Matilda McCants; son, Kelvin Wasp; granddaughter, Kandice Wasp; her siblings, Baby Irvin McCants, Henry McCants, Fred McCants, Florida McCants Durgin, Ward McCants, Louise McCants Leath, John P. McCants, Cornelius McCants, Scotiea McCants Dacus, Katie McCants Coleman. Izola leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband Burnell Wasp; her children Linda (Leslie) Quaites, Cliffet Wasp both of Point Clear, AL, Harold Wasp, Dayton OH; grandchildren, Toymeka (Phillip) Armstong, Memphis, TN, Zackery (Stephanie) Wasp, Dayton, OH, Leslie (Megan) Quaites, Point Clear, AL; great-grandchildren, Page, Rileigh, Kamryn, Elijah, Brooklyn, Tate; adoptive children, Wade Rutledge, Gahanna, OH, her devoted twins, Stacey (Harvey) Mitchell, Tracey (David) Miller both of Fairhope, AL; god children, Marty (Ben) Dacus, Point Clear, AL, Troy McCants, Mobile, AL, Renina McCants, Daphne, AL; a host of nephews, devoted Larry (Shirley) Dacus, Daphne, AL Ronald (Lynette) Leath, Wilmer Coleman, Mobile, AL, nieces, other relatives and friends.
