Irvin O'Dell

Irvin O’Dell, 65, of Stapleton Alabama, passed away on March 6, 2024, due to complications of his Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. He loved his family so much; he nicknamed his children monkeys, and grandchildren little monkeys. He loved to watch his monkeys and little monkeys’ play! They were his life. He also enjoyed all his toys such as boats, motorcycles, and cars. He took pleasure in adventuring and traveling with his family to countless lakes and road thousands of miles on his Goldwing motorcycle. His helpful and kind nature was treasured by family and friends but, sarcasm was his best quality.

Irvin’s career was in the purchasing department for several large commercial electrical contractors, but he retired working part time as a supervisor for UPS.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the ALS foundation and to the many wonderful, caring, and devoted people. Those wishing to honor him may donate to the ALS foundation in his name. 

Survived by his Wife of 40 years, Gena O’Dell.

Daughter, Andree’ O’Dell and granddaughter, Selene.

Daughter, Amber O’Dell Ashcraft, son-in-law, Caleb Ashcraft, and grandchildren, Maverick and Leighton.

Sister, Ann Kissling, and brother-in-law, Bill Kissling.

Preceded in death by his parents: Henrietta (Jording) and Ralph O’Dell; brothers, David, Timothy, and Armand O’Dell.

Per his wishes there will not be a formal service.
