Howard Miles Lifson

Howard Miles Lifson, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 83.

He was born July 23, 1941, in Minnesota to the late Samuel and Gretchen Lifson.

He served 4 years in the Coast Guard, where he received medals, to include good conduct, national defense service and for saving the life of a shipmate. He was an avid animal lover and worked with his local animal shelter.

He was preceded in death by wife, Sherrill Lifson and brother-in-law, Scott Keiffer.

Howard is survived by his sister, Carol Keiffer of Bonita Springs, Florida; nieces, Beth Scanlan of Mt. Juliet, TN, Toni Deutschlander of Lakeway, TX, Rachel Hammett Carls of Minnetrista, MN, Rebecca Koehler, of Prior Lake,MN and Angela Scanlan of Antioch, TN; nephew, Brian Scanlan of Bowling Green, KY; sister-in-law, Linda Drewer, also of Bowling Green, KY; other relatives and friends.

A private graveside for the family will be held in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
