Hazel Louise Barnett

Hazel Louise Barnett “Nana”, age 86, resident of Daphne, AL, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019. Hazel was the longtime operator of Hazel’s Market in Daphne and was known by her beloved customers as Miss Hazel. She was an avid Alabama Football fan. She loved fishing, watching and feeding the birds outside her window, Rush Limbaugh, and politics. But most of all she loved her pizza and beer night with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Barnett; 2 brothers; and her parents. She is survived by a son, Brian (Katie) Barnett of Tuscaloosa; 2 daughters, Theresa (Daniel) Neal of Goldsboro, NC, Angela Barnett of Daphne; a brother, Jimmy Bell of Century, FL; 4 grandchildren, Cameron Douglas of Daphne, Blakely Douglas of Silverhill, Adison Barnett of Mobile, Emmie Barnett of Tuscaloosa; other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
