Harold Lloyd Russell, born in Fayette County, Alabama to parents John W. and Zora P. Russell, married to Alice Bullock Russell, lost his valiant fight with cancer on December 16, 2017. Harold and Alice spent every possible moment together with the same interests in life. Harold graduated from Murphy High School and attended Spring Hill College and University of Maryland, Far East. He served in the Army Security Agency for 3 years and with the Army Corps of Engineers for 37 years as Recruitment and Employees Relations at Huntsville, AL, Okinawa, Cape Canaveral, FL, and Mobile, AL, where he received several awards and recognitions. Harold was an avid runner for many years, loved all types of music, and enjoyed feeding his birds and taking care of his fruit trees. Harold was preceded in death by his brothers John W., Thomas, and sisters Clara and Eunice. He is survived by his wife Alice Bullock Russell, sons, Harold Jr. “Butch” (Courtney), Robert Alan (Rhonda); along with the love of his life, 10 year old granddaughter, Georgia Allyn Russell. He is also survived by his two brothers, Horace and Gene, and sister Geraldine. A visitation will be held on December 20, 2017 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
