Harold (Hal) L. Brewer, age 82, passed away at home on Friday, February 17, 2023. He leaves behind his wife Pat of 60 years, son David, daughter-in-law Stephanie, grandson Chad, daughter Stacey, brother Jim and sister-in-law Deborah. Born in Covington Kentucky in 1940 to Clarence and Florence Brewer. He graduated from Darlington School in Rome Georgia and attended Auburn University on a Naval ROTC Scholarship graduating in 1962 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Two days later he married Pat and shortly moved to Pensacola for Naval flight school. Hal completed two tours in Vietnam flying A4s off the USS Independence and USS Roosevelt then joined National Airlines as a pilot, transitioning at mergers to Pan Am and finally retiring from Delta airlines. He enjoyed being on the water and playing tennis with friends. After retirement, he joined the Perdido Bay Power Squadron conducting boating safety checks and leading courses to educate the community and prepare them to acquire boating licenses. It was his request to be cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. A memorial will be held at a future date.
