Glyn Raymond Stone

STONE LILLIAN, ALABAMA Glyn Raymond Stone, age 86 of Lillian, AL was welcomed to his heavenly home on July 27, 2020 after a battle with a lengthy illness. His devotion to his family and the firm belief in the Lord Jesus Christ supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Glyn was born on July 14, 1934 to his loving parents Glyn and Frances Stone of Pontiac, MI. He graduated from the Pontiac High School in 1952 where he was immersed in Print Shop and Band throughout his high school days. Glyn was blessed with a large loving family. He married his best friend and loving wife Jane on June 29, 1957. Glyn helped raise his 8 children with patience, discipline and humanity. He loved taking road trips to show his family of God’s beauty. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Pontiac, MI before moving to Alabama where he became a trustee at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lillian, AL. He was a member of Blue Angle Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL until God called him home. He was a printer and artist by trade where he owned his own print shop, his work was admired and loved by many. Glyn was preceded in death by his parents, Glyn and Frances Stone; brother Eugene Stone; sisters, Patricia McLlrath and Gail Adkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Jane of Lillian, AL; sister Mary Jean (Jack) Peck of Clarkston, MI; 8 children, Sara (Dale) Patterson of Elberta, AL, Nathan Stone of Pace, FL, Rodney (Melina) Stone of Davison, MI, Lyle (Karen) Stone of Lakewood, CA, Tedd (Ann) Stone of Bay Minette, AL, Todd (Glenda) Stone of Robertsdale, AL, Nora (Phil) Osmun of Grand Blanc, MI, Chad (Beverly) Stone of Panama City, FL; 22 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from Blue Angle Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL, on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time.
