Glyn Daniel Gregorius, age 84, passed away on April 8, 2018 after a brief illness. Born in Appleton, Wisconsin, Glyn moved to Silverhill, Alabama as a child and settled in Fairhope in 1963. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for over 50 years. He served in the Air Force and retired from civil service with the Department of Defense at Pensacola Naval Air Station. Retirement years brought him joy on his farm, riding his John Deere, and sharing his farm life with his granddaughters as they grew up. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary; daughters, Christine Gregorius (Les Ratcliff), Angela McCullagh (Terry); sons, Andy and Joe; cherished granddaughters, Mallory, Paige, and Anna; and several nieces and nephews. Glyn is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Lillian Gregorius; brothers, Vincent, Raymond, and Melvin; and sister, Ruth. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the St. Lawrence Room. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Glyn’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-0050.
