Glenn Michael Isaacs, age 84, a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022. Glenn is a twenty-four year veteran of the United States Coast Guard and Marine Corps, and served an additional twenty-six years as a Coast Guard Licensed Merchant Marine Officer with the Navy’s Military Sealift Command. He currently served with the United States coast Guard Auxiliary, in Fairhope, Alabama. He was a college and university professor for fifteen years and faculty member for three years at the California Maritime Academy in Vallejo. Besides writing historical fiction, he was a lecturer on military and naval fiction and non-fiction. He was a self-published author, avid reader, and loved history. Glenn was an active member at Grace Anglican Church in Fairhope. He is survived by his wife; Jacqueline “Jackie” Isaacs, sister; Barbara Bates, 3 children; 3 stepchildren; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at the Alabama State’s Veterans Cemetery on May 12, 2022, at 2:30pm.
