Glenda Ann Waters

Glenda Ann Waters, a longtime resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the age of 88.

Glenda was born in Biloxi, Mississippi in the year of 1936. Glenda was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 5658. She was employed with the Public School System of Baldwin County where she was Cafeteria Manager for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, William “Eddie” Waters; parents, Clyde and Marie Ewing; brothers, D.L. Ewing & Vernon Ewing; and sister, Ethel Lorenzo.

She is survived by her sons, Victor E. Waters of Foley, AL, Greg (Denise) Waters of Summerdale, AL, Wayne Waters of Foley, AL. and Bruce (Amy) Waters of Elberta, AL; sisters, Katherine (Glenn) Staimpel of Elberta, AL., Patsy Staimpel of Elberta, AL., Beverly (Walter) Staimpel of Elberta, AL., and Aurelia Brown (Eddie) of Summerdale, AL.; brothers, Harold Ewing of Foley, AL. and Paul (Marsha) Ewing of Fairhope, AL; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The family will begin receiving friends one-hour prior to service time.

Interment will follow in Elberta Public Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ladies Auxiliary Post 5658 at Elberta VFW or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, to honor Glenda's memory.
