George Cabell Outlaw, III passed peacefully in his home in Fairhope, Alabama on March 30, 2021. He will be dearly missed by his wife Deborah Watson Outlaw, his children, Cabell, Alexander, Timothy, Irene, Chester, Kelsey, and Lindsay, 4 beautiful grandchildren, and sister Jean Outlaw Sherman Robertson along with his many life-long friends and extended family–all of whom Cabell loved fiercely. He was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and attended the Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. Throughout his life, Cabell has owned and managed multiple restaurants, marinas, and businesses across the Gulf Coast, served as the President of the Gulf Shores Chamber of Commerce, and co-founded the Shoulder. He dedicated his life to protecting and providing for his loved ones without any hesitation as a husband, father, and friend. As a world traveler, chef, and all-around adventurer, Cabell loved sharing stories around the campfire, cooking up a storm, and was most happy when his home and table was filled with loved ones. He is preceded in death by his wife Melissa Kuntz Outlaw, his sister Lynn Outlaw Cunningham, his father George Cabell Outlaw, Jr., and his mother Barbara Rawlings Outlaw. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be announced soon. Loved ones wishing to join are encouraged to bring their smiles and memories as we celebrate George Cabell “Butch” Outlaw, III.
