George Jasper Nolte

George Jasper Nolte, 95 years old, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, August 7, 2022. He is proceeded in death by his father and mother, John and Georgia (Nanny) Nolte; brothers, Ruben and Henry Nolte, all of Fairhope. George is survived by his wife of 75 years, Ida Nolte; one brother, Freddie Nolte of Fairhope; two sons, Mackey (Diane) Nolte, John (Robbin) Nolte; three daughters, Judy Nolte, Cindy (Mike) Comalander, Kim (Donna) Nolte; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Christina) Nolte, Christen (Rafael) Ordonez, Jennifer (Sarah) Nolte, Shane (Jennifer) Nolte, Brian (Melissa) Nolte, Melanie (Jamie) Booker, Brittany (BJ) Vaughn, Ashley (Sam) Fields, Mackenzie Nolte; and ten great-grandchildren. George served in the Merchant Marines and was one of the first farmers in Barnwell. He was a member of Barwell Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish. He also had a love for baseball and softball. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 3:00pm at Brook Cedron Cemetery in Fairhope, Alabama.
