George L. Ellis, Jr.

George L. Ellis, Jr., age 80, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Ellis was a U. S. Army Veteran. He worked at Scott Paper company and Kimberly-Clark for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris E. Ellis and his second wife, Gracie Turner Ellis; his grandson, Andrew Thomas Ellis and his great granddaughter, Abbigail Faith Harrison. His survivors include his four daughters, Doris Edith Lewis of Foley, Angela Diana Ellis of Fairhope, Windy J. Hoogerbuis (Ruud) of Holland Amsterdam and B. Rachel Grace Ellis of Foley; one son, George Gabriel Ellis (Marilyn) of Marlow, AL; brother, Ernest G. Ellis (Paulette) of Wetumpka, AL; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2022, from 10:00 until 11:00AM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Graveside services will follow at 11:30AM at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. Pallbearers will include grandsons, John Robert Ellis and Zachary Simmons; great grandsons, Tobias Botello, Tylor Botello and Morgan Ellis and friend, Michael Scroggins.
