George Norman Armstrong

FOLEY, ALABAMAGeorge Norman Armstrong, age 89, a native of Miami, FL., and a resident of Foley, Al., passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. George was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Shores, AL., he graduated from Miami High School, a Veteran of the Navy in WWII, his final rank was a Machinist Mate Grade 3, and he was a longtime Volunteer at the William F. Green Veterans Home, he was also a member of the DAV Chapter in Foley. Preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Sarah Armstrong, brothers; Dwight C. and Claud J. Armstrong, sister; Margaret E. Armstrong Ellis.Survivors include his wife of 46 years, June G. Armstrong of Foley, AL., nephews; Wayne Ellis of Mobile, AL., and Claud J. Armstrong Jr. (Angie) of Jacksonville, FL., brother in law; Kenneth (Jane) Mosteller of Wilmer, AL., sister in law; Joan Mosteller of New York, many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00am from the NAS All Faiths Chapel, 250 Chambers Ave., Pensacola, FL., 32508.
