Fredrick McKenzie

Fredrick McKenzie, age 79, a lifelong resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Freddie served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 6 years; made his career at with Scott/Kimberly Clark Paper Mill. He was an avid outdoorsman, a dedicated family man, and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kay McKenzie of Fairhope; children: Fredrick McKenzie II (Christina) of Silverhill, Jason Scott McKenzie (Amy) of Fairhope and Sherry Melton (Preston) of Silverhill; grandchildren: Anthony, Raina, Alyssa, Faith, Alexis, and Evan McKenzie, Preston III, Trevor and Sarah Melton; sister, Ann Vasko of Silverhill; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Silverhill Covenant Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm.
