Franklin “Frank” Monroe Dunn, age 80, a resident of DeLand, FL, passed away on September 23, 2017. Frank was born in Hickory, MS and moved to Fairhope at the age of 6. He graduated from Fairhope High School in 1955. Frank attended the University of Alabama and was an avid Alabama football fan. He was an Auditor for Chevron Oil for 30 years before retiring. He served in the United States Reserves for 8 years. He was an extraordinary husband and father to his family. He is preceded in death by his father, James Robert Dunn; mother, Lula Mae Dunn; brother, James Robert Dunn, Jr.; and sister, Peggy Barnes. Frank is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Beverly Leavins Dunn; daughter, Melinda (Jeff) Thomason of Jacksonville, FL; son, Frank (Debi) Dunn, Jr of DeLand, FL; daughter, Tracie (Brendan) Lowenstein; loving grandchildren, Stephanie, Kyndall, Madison, Mitchell and Michaela; brother, Kenny Dunn of Pensacola, FL; many other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
