Florian Turla

Florian Augustine Turla, age 91, a native of Detroit, MI and a resident of Fairhope, AL., passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018. He attended Shepherd’s Place; and loved being on the water, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Turla was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict and was proud to participate in the Honor Flight. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Agatha Turla; both of his wives: Sharon W. Turla and Lady Sutton Turla; two brothers, Robert Turla and Carl Turla. He is survived by his daughter, Robin M. Barry of Fairhope; grandchildren, Randal L. Ecker of Elmendorf A.F. Base, AK and Austin M. Ecker of Hill A.F. Base, UT; great grandchildren: Bryson L. Ecker, Mason L. Ecker, Ava McMahan, and Audrey O. Ecker; nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. A Celebration of Mr. Turla’s Life will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00     until service time.
