Evelyn JoAnn Brown

Evelyn JoAnn Gliddon Brown (JoAnn), 77, of Fairhope, passed away December 17, 2018, with her children by her side.  She was adopted by the late Howard and Dora Gliddon, June 29, 1941, in Port Arthur, Texas. JoAnn graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1958. She married the late Robert Franklin Brown (Frank) in 1960, and they lived together in Monroeville and Daphne, Alabama. JoAnn was predeceased by her loving husband in 2002. JoAnn is survived by four children: Evelyn (Tom) Walker, of Daphne; Ken (Janet) Brown, of Mobile; Kevin (Wanda) Brown, of Rossville, GA; and Becky (Jeff) Schneider, of Daphne. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and treasured friends. JoAnn was an accomplished homemaker, a wonderful cook, and she fiercely believed in God. She passed her love of God to her children. JoAnn was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. As her health declined, she often stated, "I’m ready to go home.” Viewing will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10 A.M. followed by a service in the chapel at 11 A.M. at the Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, Alabama.
