Evelyn Sollie Brantley

BRANTLEY DAPHNE Evelyn Sollie Brantley, age 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Daphne, Alabama where she lived most of her adult life. Evelyn was a most caring and loving person, and she cherished her family most of all. She was a faithful member of the Daphne Baptist Church for over 70 years, and enjoyed the many deep friendships she developed during that time. She worked many different jobs over the years, including working at Brookley Field, selling real estate, and in her later years, she worked at Westminster Village caring for elderly friends whom she came to love. She is survived by her children, Joann Ruffin (Elton), Patsy DeFilippi, Bo Brantley, Kathie Stacey (Don), Mark Brantley (Brenda), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many other loving relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Brantley, and son Robert Brantley. We would like to thank all of the caretakers at The Brennity for their care while she was there. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Belforest Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
