Eula Mae Crain February 1, 1934 – June 5, 2018 Eula M. Crain, age 84, of Orange Beach, AL and former resident of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on June 5, 2018. Eula was born February 1, 1934 to Paul and Ethel Burks Ewing of Larue County, KY. She was a graduate of Hodgenville High School and attended the University of Kentucky Community College in Elizabethtown, KY. She worked as a successful real estate broker and owned her own agency for 28 years.Eula was a member of Eastern Star and The First Christian Church of Elizabethtown, KY. She loved life, was happy, funny, and enjoyed socializing with her many friends. She had a passion for planning derby parties and entertaining. She was known for cooking and serving gourmet foods. She always remembered her doctors, office personnel and elderly friends by baking and delivering cakes, cookies and candies for special occasions. Eula was an ardent reader and had written several books; the last one was her autobiography titled, The Survivor”. Eula was proceeded in death by her parents, Paul and Ethel Ewing. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Frank N. Crain; one daughter, Kimberly Rae and husband Edwin (Butch) Phillips; grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Phillips of Mt. Jouliet, TN; two step-sons, Paul Nelson and Charles Crain of Hardyville, KY; three sisters, twin, Beulah Rae Catllett of Elizabethtown, KY, Doris Simpson of Hodgenville, KY, and Alma Ford of Orange Beach, AL; numerous relatives, friends and two special little buddies, Angel and Sugar. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, 2551 S. McKenzie St. Foley, AL, where hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served in celebration of Eula’s life. There will also be an additional visitation and service held in Elizabethtown, KY at Dixon-Atwood Funeral Home Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00pm located on 234 W Dixie Ave. Elizabethtown, KY. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown, KY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Hospital.
