Eugene Gerhard Wehling

Eugene Gerhard Wehling born February 24, 1938, a resident of Elberta, Al, went to his heavenly home on August 18, 2021 at the age of 83.

Eugene loved the Lord and was a very godly man. He enjoyed his years working at Foley Tractor and Moyer Ford, metal detecting, working on appliances, videotaping and his family.

Eugene is preceded in death by his late wife Ester Wehling; daughter Wanda Wehling; father Gerhard Wehling; mother Laura Kremple; sister Edith Lewis; and brother Gerhard Wehling.

He is survived by his wife Mary Frances Wehling, three step-children, Rita White-Werp, Michael (Melia) White and Bryan White; six grandchildren, Jennifer (William) Weaver, Jill Sellers, Haley (Frank) Stewart, Kristin (Bryan) Chasteen, Joshua White and Savannah (Christian) Ramsey; eleven great-grandchildren, Brenton, Hunter and Olivia Weaver, Zane Gilpatrick, Nolan, Ellie and Nora Stewart, Brayden and Madelyn Chasteen, Adalynn White and Octavia Ramsey; nephew Allen (Carole) Lewis; niece Carol (Steve) Forsythe; and many great and great great nieces and nephews.

Eugene was a founding and dedicated member of Elberta Faith Fellowship.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Allen Lewis for selflessly taking care of Eugene through the end of time.

Graveside service will be at Elberta Public Cemetery on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 3:00 PM.
