Elizabeth Katherine Hertel

HERTEL ELBERTA, ALABAMA Elizabeth Katherine Hertel, age 98, a lifelong resident of Elberta, AL, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017. Elizabeth was a lifelong member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Elberta. Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Henry Hertel. She is survived by her children; Robert (Carolyn) Hertel of Elberta, Marianne (John) Anderson of Semmes; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, brother; Jacob Frank, Jr. of Elberta, and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Elberta,  Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Prince of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
