Elizabeth Ann “Liz” McGonagle Graham Elizabeth Ann “Liz” McGonagle Graham, age 52, of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 15, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Elizabeth was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on August 3, 1970, to Theresa and Joseph McGonagle. She was a graduate of Fairhope High School in Fairhope, Alabama. She earned a B.S. in psychology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and a master’s in occupational therapy from San Jose University in California. Elizabeth was a practicing OT for more than 15 years; a professional photographer and studio owner; and, in the last decade, owned a fitness and wellness gym, serving as a life coach for many clients. Some knew her as Elizabeth, others as Liz, but all knew her as a bright light that refused to dim, regardless of circumstance. Throughout her life, including, and most remarkably, during her battle with cervical cancer, Liz exuded grace, joy, and unwavering faith. She was a bundle of positive energy, leaving all in her path uplifted. She loved people and chose to see the best in everyone. Whether in her role as life coach, spiritual mentor, or fitness trainer, Liz dedicated her professional life to helping countless clients of all ages find and live the best version of themselves. But the role she cherished by far the most was that of mother to her four beautiful children, whose lives will continue to be blessed by Liz’s devoted care and unconditional love. She loved them to the moon and back and back and back. Those whose lives she touched are changed for the better, forever inspired by and thankful for the gift that was Elizabeth. Elizabeth is survived by her four children: Jacob Nathanial “Jack” Graham, Samuel James “Sam” Graham, Katherine Denise “Kate” Graham, and Patrick Connor Graham; her mother, Theresa Tasso McGonagle; four sisters: Theresa McGonagle (Curt) Crider, Margaret (Kevin) Kvalvik, Christine (Jeff) Walding, and Cynthia (Drew) McGarity; and 12 nieces and nephews and two great-nephews. Elizabeth is also survived by the father of her children, Keith Graham; numerous loving aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives; and wonderful friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Deacon Joseph P. McGonagle; and her grandparents, James and Margaret McGonagle and Angelo and Lucy Giardino. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, Alabama, with Rev. Matthew O’Connor officiating.
