Elizabeth Allen Cahill

Elizabeth (Liz) Allen Cahill, age 88 passed away Monday, June 26, 2017. Liz was born on July 9, 1928 in Kentucky and raised by her beloved great aunt, Edna Allen Rickmers, in Miami, FL.  Liz graduated from Miss Harris’ School of Miami, Bennett College of NY, and the University of Miami.  She was a life long member of Tri-Delta Sorority. Liz was a volunteer for many years at the Museum of Natural History in Miami. She was a choir singer and member of Pinecrest Presbyterian Church of Miami and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Palm Coast. Liz loved to play tennis and was a member of Royal Palm Tennis Club of Miami.  She moved to Palm Coast in 2001 from Miami with her husband Larry. Liz was a devoted mother and was accepting, gracious and kind to all. Liz is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Szymanowicz of Newburg, NY, Cynthia Cahill of Ossining, NY, Cathleen Brown and her husband Howell of Daphne, AL; brother-in-law, Thomas Cahill of Cudjo Key, FL; sister-in-law, Nancy O’Connor of Bethel, CT; grandsons, Thomas Szymanowicz and his wife, Kathleen of Newburg, NY, William Brown of Auburn, AL; granddaughter, Kate Brown of Birmingham, AL; great-grandson, Gage  Szymanowicz; great-granddaughter, Stella Szymanowicz; nieces, Patty Morgan, Blair Strickroot, Jane Weir; nephews, Reid Cahill and Gar Michler. Liz is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Cahill and her brother, Edward Allen.
