Eleanor T. Sanders

Eleanor T. Sanders, 86, a resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Eleanor’s boundless love for her Boston Terrier “fur babies” was unmatched—her pets were her constant companions and brought her endless comfort and joy. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and her holiday spirit was contagious. Eleanor was known for her exquisite holiday decorations, transforming her home into a winter wonderland that brought joy to all who visited. A lifelong lover of shopping, Eleanor had an eye for finding treasures, whether she was searching for the perfect gift or adding to her cherished collections. Her warmth, laughter, and generosity made her a beloved presence in her community.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen Sanders; parents, Edgar and Lula Turner, and her sister Barbara Hollenbeck.

Eleanor leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her brother, Bobby Turner of Cullman, AL.; sister, Kay Payne (Gene) of Foley, AL.; and her nieces, Monica Little, Pam Hollenbeck, Rita Dean, and Rhonda Turner; along with her great-nieces and nephews, other dear friends, and her beloved pets, who will forever miss her.

The family invites all who knew Eleanor to celebrate her life and share memories in the Chapel of Wolfe Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00PM. 

Eleanor’s light and love will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
