Edwin Ralph Turk

Edwin Ralph Turk, age 78, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama passed away on January 20, 2021. Edwin was born in Brewton, Alabama on August 16, 1942. He served in the Army and was stationed in England from April 5, 1961 to January 7, 1964. Edwin worked for AT & T from 1964 through 1991. He enjoyed running and was able to run in the Marine Corps Marathon on November 6, 1983. In 1984, Edwin participated in the London Marathon and completed the marathon in under 3 hours, which was a personal record. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and traveling. Edwin loved scotch. He was an Alabama Crimson Tide fan – Roll Tide! Edwin was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Rudolph Turk; mother, Alice Ree Lambeth Lee; stepfather, Cecil Earl Lee; and brother, William Thomas “WT” Turk. Edwin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Frances Turk; son, Gavin Turk; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Kaiser Turk; favorite granddaughter, Kendall Turk; brothers, Terry Turk, James Lee, Robert Lee, Thomas Lee; sister, Caroline Lee. Visitation will be held at the Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
