EJ Spence, 34, of Gulf Shores, Al. passed away on December 17, 2022. EJ was a graduate of Gulf Shores High School and worked operating his family businesses. EJ loved his family and loved his friends as if they were family. His smile was infectious, had a heart of gold, never met a stranger and his laugh will never be forgotten. EJ had a very special relationship with each of his boys; cooking and going to concerts with Win, hunting and fishing with Will, and having his mini-me, Way tag along everywhere with him. Even though EJ was not Mickey’s biggest fan, he would put on his running shoes and conquer the parks with Maggie and the kids! He leaves behind an amazing wife, Maggie, and three beautiful boys, Win (10), Will (7), and Wayland (3). He is survived by his parents, Eddie and Sheryl Spence of Gulf Shores, sister Kellie Spence (Jamie), his niece Kyler Spence as well as brother-in-law Aaron Stamm (Ellen), his niece, Abigail Stamm, Jane Mashburn (maternal grandmother), Patricia Standifer (paternal grandmother), Jan and Ira Williams (mother-in-law), and Jeff and Jennifer Stamm (father-in-law), Aunts, Karen, Kathy, Kristi, Kim, Gail, Cecily and Lynne, Uncles; Mike, Johnny, Robert, Tommy, Jim and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, CW Spence (Poppy), and his maternal grandfather Edward Cornelison (Grandpa), and first cousin, Jaclyn Faircloth. EJ’s life will be celebrated Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00am at Oyster Bay Baptist Church (4280 Plash Road, Gulf Shores). Visitation will be from 9am-11am.
