Edwin R. Calame, Sr.

Edwin R. Calame, Sr., a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017. He was born on October 22, 1927. Mr. Calame served in the Navy during WWII and U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired from ALAGAS Co. with 48 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Temple # 644 of Hoover, AL. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Petty Calame; granddaughters, Carolyn Marie Calame and Alexis Colinne Howard; brother, Leander Nathaniel Calame, Jr. (June), and identical twin brother, William Erwin Calame, Sr. He is survived by his son, Edwin R. Calame, Jr. (Cynthia); daughter, Colinne Howard (Jack); grandson, Timothy Nathaniel Howard; granddaughters, Ashley Colinne Howard, Jacolinne Joie Howard, Victoria Faith Howard and Melanie Anne Howe; great grandchildren: Alannah Givens, Alex Wilder Howard, Kaitlyn Marie Howe and Madison Rae Howe; sister, Clara Mae Weaver; other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2017 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, AL.
