Edmund “Ed” Harry Dorgan a native of New Orleans LA and longtime resident of Daphne, AL passed away October 25th, 2024, while playing golf at Lake Forest Golf Course. Although sudden, he left us doing what he loved.
Those who knew Ed Dorgan knew he had a passion for two things…. golf and Ole Miss Football. You never saw Ed without some garment or hat representing Ole Miss. He played golf without fail several times a week and was a football season ticket holder at Ole Miss for decades. He was also very devout and dedicated to his Catholic faith.
Ed attended and graduated from the University of Mississippi and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity and The O Club. He also served our country as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He retired as a senior account representative with WestLaw Group and spent five years working alongside his son with Lexis Nexis. He was a longtime member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Daphne.
Ed was preceded in death by his father Edmund and mother Marguerite Dorgan. He is survived by his wife Carole Dorgan of Daphne, his sister Joanne “Bootsie” Lynch of Minneapolis, his children, Tricia (Rob) Littleton of Fairhope, Michael (Denise) Dorgan of Spanish Fort and Sharon (Tom) Davis of Opelika, and three stepdaughters Linda (Mark) Hanlon, Darlene (Ben) Cork and Lisa (Erich) Craft. Ed was the grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
