Edmund Alan Attebury, beloved husband of Anne Banister Attebury, passed away on May 22, 2021 at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Ed was born in Salem, Oregon to Genevieve Hook Attebury and Edmund Alan “EA” Attebury. Ed served in the US Army, where he held the rank of Lieutenant and participated in the development of White Sands Missile Range. Ed received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Business and Marketing, and his MBA from the University of Georgia. While at the University of Georgia, he met his wife Anne, who was attending the university. Ed’s career included major department stores management and commercial real estate development. He also owned his own commercial development company and specialized in storage solutions for California residents. Ed and Anne lived in both California and Arizona prior to settling in Baldwin County, Alabama. Ed loved his family and his friends, and considered his hunting dogs as part of his family. Ed was an avid bird hunter and he enjoyed snow skiing, boating, fishing and golf. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, sense of fairness, positive outlook, kindness and his love of life. Ed is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anne Banister Attebury. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at a later date.
