Dorothy Beville Yeend Yeager passed away peacefully at her beloved home on Mobile Bay in Fairhope on March 29, 2021 at the age of 96. “Dot “was born in Mobile on January 27, 1925 and moved to her present home when she was 13 years old. A realtor for 55 years on the Eastern Shore, she is quoted as saying “I have sold a house to everyone in Fairhope at least once “ She loved cooking for her family, Alabama football, golf with her husband, Jerre, and bridge games with her many, many friends. Dot began her Real Estate career in 1963 after raising her three children. She was owner of Yeager and Masterson Realty which is now known as Roberts Brothers. She was a national recognized Realtor Emeritus, Realtor of the Year and past President of the Baldwin County Association of Realtors. A lifelong member of St James Episcopal Church, she and her mother, Millie Yeend, were instrumental in the formation of Camp Beckwith, the Episcopal Retreat on Weeks Bay. A member of the Fairhope Yacht Club, she spent many hours in boats on the Bay and was known to jump off a boathouse roof into Fly Creek at the age of 75! As a board member of The Fairhope Single Tax Corporation, she helped Fairhope grow into the paradise it is today. Dot is predeceased by her husband Gerald (Jerre)Yeager, and her daughter, Margaret Yeager Best. She is survived by two sons, Jerre Yeager, Jr. (Pam) and Tom Yeager, daughters in law, Diana Yeager and Analise Nova, son in law, Randy Best; grandchildren, Brandi Corbett (Chris) Brett Best, Jessica Yeager, Catie Monroe (Cawthon) Sam Yeager- Allen (Richard) four great grandchildren, Christopher and Jimbo Corbett and Ava and Tanner Best. A private Service for family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Camp Beckwith 10400 Beckwith Lane Fairhope, Alabama 36532
