Doris Teresa Guarisco

  Doris Teresa Guarisco, age 88, a resident of Daphne, passed away, Tuesday, August 15, 2017. She is preceded in death by her first husband, William Robert Davis, Sr. and her second husband, Augustine Victor Guarisco; her parents, Edwin Joseph Zimlich, Sr. and Teresa Zimlich; her siblings, Edwin J. Zimlich, Jr., Bernard H. Zimlich and Anna Rita Merrell. Doris graduated from Visitation Academy in 1946. She worked at Goldsteins, Gayfers and retired from Dillards where she worked in the china department.  Doris was a member of Christ the King Altar Sodality/Burse Club.  Her hobby was gardening; she enjoyed working in her yard, particularly loved raising flowers. Doris was the daughter of a Mobile Truck Farmer on Huertel St. in Mobile.  She is survived by her 4 children, William (Charlene) Robert Davis, Jr., Thomas (Debbie) Frederick Davis, Paul (Kathy) Zimlich Davis, Marilyn (Larry) Davis King; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held, Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile.
