Donald O. Spillman, deported this life on July 8, 2018. He was a former resident of Lexington, KY and a resident of Daphne. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Tula Stebbins Spillman; son, Mark Spillman; parents, Dr. Claude O. and Jerry Spillman. He lived a remarkable life; he fought in the Battle of The Bulge and was present at the Potsdam Peace Conference. He continued to work for the federal government in computer centers, as well pioneering the light/dark blooming chrysanthemums. His family farm grew commercial mums. Donald is survived by a daughter who he lived with, Dr. Diana Marie Spillman; a son, Charles Lee Spillman and daughters-in-law, Dr. Kim Spillman, Laura Spillman; grandchildren, Charles Lee Spillman, II, and Audrey Joy Spillman; and many friends and church family. A funeral service will be held at a later date in Lexington, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Baldwin County Humane Society.
