Donald Lee Smith

Donald Lee Smith, age 78, a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023. Donald served in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He retired from the Memphis, TN Police Department and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting deer and squirrel, along with fishing. Donald loved traveling, especially out West. Donald is survived by his brothers, Darrel Smith, Melvin Smith; sister, Diane Short, all of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two nieces, four nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne Chapel, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00pm until the time of service. Interment will follow in Pine Rest Cemetery, Foley, Alabama.
