Donald Mulhern

Donald F. Mulhern, age 90, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017. He was born in Portland, Maine, November 1, 1926. He served in the United States Merchant Marine during World War II, receiving the Merchant Marine Combat Bar, among other decorations. He was a proud member of the American Legion, Post 199, Fairhope, AL. His remains will be cremated, with a Celebration of Life Memorial planned for a later date. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jessia Prater Mulhern, whom he loved dearly; a son, Donald F Mulhern Jr (Laurie) of Memphis, TN; step daughter Tina Alexander of Alexandria, VA; nephews Thomas A Mulhern (Donna) of Morristown, NJ, and Richard Barker (Julie) of University Park, FL. He is also survived by his beloved cousin, Anne Marie Feeny Murphy of Scarborough, ME; a great nephew, Brian Mulhern of Annapolis, MD; three granddaughters and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Margaret, daughter Deborah, parents and siblings.A celebration of life memorial service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 11:00 am.  The Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the service time.
