Donald William Koontz, Jr. of Elberta, AL, born September 2, 1955, passed away April 11, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald William Koontz, Sr. and Dorothy Jean Koontz. He is survived by his children Thadeus Koontz (Alisha), Claire Fawal (Nick), and Leah Tucker (Aaron) and grandchildren- Christopher, Hannah, Chason, Grayson, Tennyson, and Klara. He is also survived by two loving sisters Donna Woerner and Diedre Cowart, a brother David Koontz, a niece, nephews, and many cousins. With his passing, the world has lost a man who loved fully, lived authentically, read voraciously, learned daily, and showed brilliance in anything from complex math to tractor repair; a true Renaissance man. He was a brother, a friend, a jokester, an advisor, a farmer, a musician, a hard working entrepreneur, an athlete, a supporter of the community, and a collector. He saw value in people and things that maybe others would not. He was many things to many people, but above all he was Daddy and Papa and will be forever missed.
