Donald “Don” Kirk Bouler, 90, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023. Don was a Navy veteran and retired civil servant. He served during the Korean War on Kwajalien Island as a member of the Seabees. Growing up in Sweetwater, Alabama, Don was one of six siblings. Some of his favorite pastimes were spent in the woods near Sweetwater hunting deer and turkey. After moving to Warner Robins, Georgia, to raise his family, he returned often to visit with lifelong friends. He was a deacon, Sunday School teacher and bus driver at Green Acres Baptist Church in Georgia. He returned to Alabama after retirement, living in Fairhope for more than 20 years. He was a member of Jubilee Baptist Church. “DK” as his wife, Georgia, affectionately called him, was a great (and quite funny) storyteller. He loved to sing. With a repertoire ranging from Ray Stevens to Ray Charles, his most enthusiastic listeners were his three daughters, Cheryl, Sheila and Christy. In his later years, his grandchildren and great grandchildren were also blessed with these memories, as he joyfully sang and bounced them on his knee. Don was an avid Crimson Tide football fan, and even received a personalized birthday photograph from the Sabans at his 90th birthday party. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Georgia (Creamer) Bouler, daughters: Cheryl Parsons (Glenn), Sheila Bouler (Todd) and Christy Chambers (David), grandchildren: Erin Garrett (Hunter), TJ Parsons, Leah Chambers, Austin Chambers, and Marie-Claire Chretien, great-grandchildren: Walker Garrett and Cade Garrett Funeral services will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. ARRANGEMENTS BY WOLFE-BAYVIEW FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC. 19698 GREENO RD.
