Donald Bertagnolli passed away at his home on February 26, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Tina (nee Wright), children Kathleen (Robert Rawls), Donald, Patricia (Tony Anderson), Kenneth (Kim), and Stephen (Lori), grandchildren Jennifer and Robert Rawls Jr, Lynn, Tristan, Ethan, and Keaton Bertagnolli and 2 great grandchildren Rebecca and Alex Bertagnolli. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Genevera (nee Green) and brothers Bill, Henry, Anthony, Tommy, and Jerry. Donald was born in Weslaco, Texas on May 1, 1938. His family moved to Daphne, Alabama, in 1943. He met his future wife at ballroom dance lessons. They were married on June 11, 1960. He worked as a warehouse supervisor before becoming an industrial salesman for Bay City Tool and Repair Company until he retired in 2018. He was active in his church and community. He served the community as a boy scout leader and soccer coach. He served his church as council member, Eucharistic minister, lector, perpetual adoration, and choir member. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at the council and state level and a Fourth Degree Knight. He loved his accordion; he was a charter member of the Alabama Accordion Association. He was a host father for ten exchange students from Sweden, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and France; many of them have returned for visits throughout the years. A memorial Mass will be at Christ the King Church in Daphne, Alabama, on March 14 at 10:30am. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until 10:30am. Rosary will be at 9:00am.
