Dolores Statkewicz

Dolores Rose Statkewicz, age 86, a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL and a current resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. She graduated from The Convent of Mercy in 1949; she retired from the Corp of Engineers with over 20 years of service; was a long time member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Walter Statkewicz; daughter, Letitia Thomas; granddaughter, Jennifer Steiner. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne S. (Mark) Christian and Mary Ann Statkewicz, all of Fairhope; sons, Curtis (Rita) Steiner, Steve (Michele) Statkewicz and Walter Statkewicz, all of Mobile; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; many other loving relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Lawrence Room. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Mobile. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Sisters of Mercy Residence 101 Wimbleden Dr. W.
