Dillon Taylor March, age 95, passed away Saturday March 3, 2018. Dillon was a native of Mobile and a lifelong resident of Mobile and Point Clear Mr. March’s career as an architect is well known in Mobile for such projects as the renovations of the Government Street Presbyterian Church and Barton Academy. His work in development and construction of the Mobile Mental Health Center in order to serve the then emerging changes to mental health treatment was recognized nationally and served as a prototype for construction of similar projects throughout the country. Dillon learned to fish during childhood summer days at Point Clear and pursued that joy throughout his life with a group of good friends as fellow fishermen. Mr. March, a proud Auburn graduate and World War II Army veteran, is survived by his wife of seventy years, Virginia, his brother Billy, and numerous nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Mr. March’s Life will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home.
