Debra Patricia Mansmann, who graced this world with her presence on March 6, 1954, in the vibrant Bronx, New York, passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and selfless dedication to her family and community.
Debra was a woman who knew the value of warmth and community, as evidenced by her 30-plus years at the Fairhope Elks Lodge, where she volunteered tirelessly as an Emblem. She was the kind of person who found fulfillment in helping others and believed that giving was the truest form of joy. Her commitment to her community was an integral part of her faith and the love she had for everyone around her. Her years as a lab assistant at Thomas Hospital reflected her caring nature and sharp mind, playing an important role in her professional life.
Family was everything to Debra. Her eyes always sparkled when she spoke of her eight grandchildren, each of whom brought immense pride and joy into her life. As a mother to Jonathon James Mansmann, Melissa Louise Mansmann, and Jessica Jean Ellis, she was a guiding light, offering wisdom and an endless reservoir of love. Her laughter was infectious, her stories mesmerizing, as she taught her family the importance of living life to the fullest.
Debra's heart was big enough to encompass not just her immediate family but her parents, Marjorie and Thomas Mullen, and her brothers Brian and Kevin Mullen. Together with her husband, she built a life rich in love and camaraderie, leaving an indelible mark on her friends and community who saw her as a wonderful mother, wife, and friend.
As we come together to remember Debra at Wolfe Bay Funeral Home in Fairhope, AL, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us for a visitation on Monday, November 25th, 2024, beginning at 1:00 pm.
