Dayton Cleveland Roberts, age 84, a resident of Daphne, AL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Dayton graduated from Satsuma High School where he was a star athlete in football and baseball and went on to graduate from Auburn University receiving a degree in Industrial Engineering.

He loved cheering on the Auburn Tigers and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis C. Roberts, Gwyndola C. Roberts and sister, Bettye R. Merritt.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Mary Frances Adams Roberts of Daphne, AL; children, Leah R. (Todd) Thomas and Andrew Dayton Roberts; grandchildren, Emma Thomas, Cullen Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Dayton Roberts, Millie Roberts, and many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 10:00am in Montrose Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to The Montrose Cemetery Association, PO Box 98 Montrose, AL 36559, or the charity of your choice.
