David Stapleton, Sr.

David Crockett Stapleton, Sr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patsy Murphy Stapleton. He is also survived by his seven children: Jeffrie Stapleton Morgan, Jacqueline Murphy Stapleton, David Crockett Stapleton, Jr. (Kristen), Patrick Gerard Stapleton, Whitney Stapleton Cutrell, Tracey Elizabeth Blackwell (Ruffin), and William Murphy Stapleton (Tiffany) and 17 grandchildren: Jennifer Morgan Carico (Scott), Thomas Ray Morgan, IV (Shelly), Jacob Browning Stapleton, Catherine Corte Stapleton, David C. Stapleton, III, Donald Wayne Cutrell, Jr. (Maggie), William Chase Cutrell, Patrick Kelley Cutrell, John Murphy Cutrell, Mary Cullen Cutrell, Ruffin Sage Blackwell, II, Elizabeth Sage Blackwell, Hammet Stapleton Blackwell, William Hutchins Blackwell, William Murphy Stapleton, Jr., Skylar Patricia Stapleton, and Joseph Ryan Stapleton, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Helen Hammet and Archie C. Stapleton, his brothers, Archie C. Stapleton, Jr. and Roy Hammet Stapleton, and sister, Dea Stapleton Gay. Visitation will be held in the St. Lawrence Room at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope, Alabama from 10-12 on Friday, November 24, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in the church.
