David "Buck" Harvey Knizley

David Harvey “Buck” Knizley, age 76 of Fairhope AL, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2018 at his home on Mobile Bay with his adored wife and family by his side after a lengthy illness. He spent his last days visiting with family and friends in his home enjoying the scenic views of Mobile Bay.  Buck was born in Eight Mile, AL and preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Florence (Knapp) Knizley and sister Debbie Knizley Barnes.  Buck is survived by his wife of 55 years Jean Tarver Knizley; son David Kevin Knizley (Michelle) of Spanish Fort, AL; daughter Kim Knizley Brown(Jason) of Mobile, AL, and grandchildren: Price Brown, Lila Camille Knizley and Isabelle Brown.  Buck is also survived by his sister Frances Knizley Palughi; brothers Robert Knizley(Cheri) and Dennis Knizley(Lisa) and many nieces and nephews. He retired from Alabama Power Company at Barry Steam Plant. Buck’s love for his wife was known by all who knew him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and entertaining friends and family in his home on Mobile Bay.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope, AL. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Lawrence Room. Interment will follow the service at Valhalla Memorial Cemetery, Semmes, AL. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Sacred Heart Chapel (Battles Wharf) c/o St. Lawrence 370 S.
