Darlene Louise Scott

Darlene Louise Scott, age 76, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025.

She was a dedicated member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and choir. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for over 40 years. She loved to cook for her family and friends any chance she could. Most importantly, she loved being a grandmother to her granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Scott; brothers, Gary Burnett, Jimmy Burnett; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Jim Scott of Walker, LA; daughter, Angela (Gene) Hernandez of Katy, TX; brother, Alan (Kathy) Burnett of Brighton, MI; sister, Holly Burnett of Paw Paw, MI; granddaughter, Emily Hernandez; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Darlene’s life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, at 11:00am. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00am.

To honor Darlene’s memory, donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her cherished and loyal friend, Stephanie Christopher, beloved friends John and Dorothy Lackeos, and dedicated caregiver, Pam Douglas.
