At the age of 17, he started his career as a truck driver hauling cattle. He was known as “Piccolo” among the other drivers. He dedicated 35 years to driving and was known for his mechanical genius. Danny was full of life, sought adventure, and knew how to have a good time. As a young man, he was a daredevil and Motocross champion. He loved music! On the weekends, you were sure to find him on the dance floor. He won many competitions dancing with his baby sister, Cindy. In September 1980, he asked a beauty named Vera to dance. He fell head over heels, and they were married a few months later. He was a devoted husband for 42 years. Together, they had two children. He was a proud father and adored his son, Keith, and daughter in law, Ashley. His daughter, Melissa, had his heart. His son in law, Chris, described him as a father figure, mentor, and friend. His greatest joy was being a Pawpaw to his grandchildren- Gavin, Madilyn, Graydn, Christopher Jr (Boo-Boo), Foster, Breanna, and Jocelyn. He loved spending time at the ballfield, watching them play, and would drive hours to do so. He will be remembered as a natural comedian. He was well-known for his pranks and quick wit. He was compassionate and would do anything to help someone in need. He had a tenacious spirit, would never back down, and fiercely loved his family. “Moose” will be missed by many.
