Dale Anthony Crittenden, age 98, of Fairhope, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2021. Dale was a World War II United States Navy Veteran and a 1949 graduate of Michigan State University. He was a member of and held various leadership roles in the Baldwin County Home Builders Association, Baldwin County Association of Realtors, and the Home Builders Association of Alabama. He was active in the Le Krewe de Bienville and served as the Grand Leprechaun for the Foolish Friends of St. Patrick. He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Clara Grace Caswell. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean; daughter, Jody Pitman (Cliff), sons, Jeff (Mary), Perry (Robin) and Jerry (Cindy); grandchildren, Jenna Caswell (Ryan), Jill Pose (Jake), Jana Boothe (Tanner), Clay Pitman (Mary Emma), Matthew Crittenden, Ryan Crittenden, Morgan Bergin (Steve), Abbi Gouin (Alex), and Luke Crittenden, and great-grandchildren, Cristen and Cade Caswell, Townes Boothe, and Piper, Kinsley, and Harper Crittenden. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Fairhope Yacht Club from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.
